| Thank you to TRMs Morgan & Livia, 75th Crown of Atenveldt, for bestowing this great honor. Thank you to my Laurel, Baron Jose Felipe Francisco, Saestre de Madrid, for the years of friendship, mentoring, and patience. To my Pelican, Posadnitsa Dascha Alexandrovna Rostova, thank you for your calm presence and gentle guidance. Thank you to those who spoke for me at the ceremony: TRH Eduard & Asa as members of the Chivalry and Royal Peerage, respectively. Also, Countess Sir Trude Lacklandia as a Pelican. Mistress Meadhbh ní Dhubhthaigh and Baroness Jadi al-Ishfahani al-Samarkandiyya as Laurels who spoke on my behalf. Thank you to my speakers from the populace, Lord Fergus de Botha and Lord Iamys MacMurray de Morayshire, who have been with me throughout my journey. And many thanks to Master Sim MacFhearchair for his amazing performance, calmness throughout the day and for his extremely kind words! Thank you to my protege sister, HE Baroness Lisabetta Bartholomea Zanca, Baroness of Atenveldt, Lord Brendan Maclir, THL Egan Smilebringer, Lady Roisi MacCracken (newest apprentice to Mistress Meadhbh), Lord Alrich von dem Turlin and Lady Golda ferch Deiniol for carrying the accoutrements of the ceremony. Thank you to Mistress Meadhbh for the lovely mantle. Thank you to Mistress Dairine Mor O hUigin and Sir Jakob van Groningen for the beautiful laurel wreath and the loan of their pavilion for the vigil. And thank you to Their Excellencies, Katheline & Ryan, Baron & Baroness of Sundragon, for the gorgeous banner. To Master Jose for the medallion. And also to HRM Uther for the "stealth" medallion. Thank you to my beloved friend HE Bannthegn Edine Fairfield for bringing friends from afar, though she herself could not make it (we miss you and your family a lot!). To my friends who traveled, including HRM Uther, King of Gleann Abhann, HG Duchess Angharad Bandaspus Drakenhefd, Duchess An Tir, HE Baroness Jadi and Lord Alrich of Meridies, I was deeply honored by your presence and touched by your words of advice. Thank you for making the long journey! Congratulations to HE Viscount Sir Justin du Roc, the newest Laurel. Thanks for taking the Hubcab of Tir Ysgithr in record time! ;-) It is well-deserved and I understand you are the 44th (or some ridiculously low number) Quadruple Peer in the world! You are an impressive guy! To those who made the vigil happen beautifully: HE Countess Sir Trude Lacklandia, Master Phineas Magollricke, Lady Elizabeth ingen Iames, milord Duncan Magollricke, Lady Elaria filia Robert, Lady Thyra ingen Aodhan ua Riagan, Lady Roisi MacCracken, THL Argyle MacPherson, thank you. Your attention to detail inspires me. Also to Mistress Angele Plaisance, Lady Amy Marie MacCormack, Mistress Dairine and Hanim Morgana Quarry for their assistance during the vigil with table/book duty. And milord Fhionn Thyrason and milord Seamus bheag Thyrason for their help. And to all of you who came to see me and/or call with/send kind words. Lady Roisi, Lady Perin de la Serena, and milady Aasni of Tir Ysgithr assisted with TRM Eduard & Asa's coronation clothes. You are amazing! Lady Elaria, thank you also for giving up half of your week to come down here to be Vallawulf's shadow! I think he would have collapsed without you there. Lady Thyra, ditto for the things you did that he couldn't get to in time. You are both amazing friends and we both love you very much! Again to Lady Elaria, Lady Elizabeth, milady Aasni and anyone I may have missed who took turns at baby duty at the event, thank you so much! Thanks to Hanim Morgana for chauffeuring our guests to Sky Harbor in Phoenix. And to Lord Seanach mac Feidhlimidh Droichit Atha and Lady Nikaia Angelina Tagarina for finding Vallawulf's wallet...service above and beyond. Thank you to everyone who inspired me along the path with requests for garb, asking me to teach classes, conversations about the arts and sciences or with your own interesting classes and beautiful works. Last, but certainly not least, I thank my lord husband, Vallaulfr Rurikson. You tackled the impossible in a week. You organized, you were a gracious host, you took over "baby duties" and much, much more. Yet beyond that, your love and support over the years have helped me grow into who I am. And to my little one, Christian, for giving me such joy throughout the last nine months! Your humble servant, Maitresse Cécile de Brétigny, O.L. |
